This research explores the integration of 5G technology, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and dynamic modelling to revolutionise industrial processes and foster economic growth. With Malaysia’s adoption of 5G technology and Petronas’ pioneering efforts in deploying commercial private networks, the transformative potential of these technologies becomes evident. Collaborative endeavours between the government, the private sector, and academia drive innovation. At the same time, integration with the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and automation promises enhanced operational efficiency and safety. Petronas, a major energy industry player, benefits from 5G’s applications in optimising operations and improving safety protocols. The research highlights the synergy between 5G, VR, AR, and dynamic modelling, offering insights into their potential to enhance industrial processes, promote sustainability, and stimulate innovation.
